50m Olympic Standard Swimming Pool

The architecture gives the pool a strong sense of arrival and openness, with extensive roof glazing bringing daylight deep into the hall and the entrance lobby opening directly towards the water at pool level. LED Architects has also worked with the school on subsequent refurbishment and maintenance programmes, coordinating major plant, pool-liner and roof-glazing works around the school holiday period to minimise disruption to training and wider use.

Designed to ASA international standards, the pool complex supports both high-performance training and competition. The main 50m pool incorporates a movable bulkhead for accurate competition configuration and subdivision for water polo, supported by a separate training and swim-down pool, changing accommodation, a training and functions deck and two large spectator galleries with tiered seating.
